Employment and Service Opportunities
SCI AmeriCorps Member: The 20 SCI AmeriCorps members will serve between September 2008 and June 2009, and will build social capital at various sites across our three communities in Woburn, Dorchester, and Lynn. - Outreach & Technology Coordinator: The Outreach & Technology Coordinator will serve as a member on the Connecting Citizens AmeriCorps team, and will implement technology systems and traditional outreach efforts to connect citizens with the information they need to participate in civic life. - Youth Programs Coordinator: The Youth Programs Coordinator will serve as a member on the Engaging Youth AmeriCorps team, and will provide leadership training to a core group of youth, such as a Youth Council in each SCI community, who will engage their peers in Community Service Learning (CSL) and other civic activities. Several of the positions will be based out of partnering agencies: DotWell in Dorchester; North Suburban YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Woburn; and other agencies in Lynn. - Volunteer Coordinator: The Volunteer Coordinator will serve as a member on the Leveraging Volunteers AmeriCorps team, and will recruit and coordinate adult volunteers who will serve community members, and create volunteer management plans that increase the capacity of partnering organizations to recruit and manage volunteers.
