SCI Fall Newsletter

SCI and Partners seek to improve Health and Wellness.  

Social Capital Inc. has partnered with several communities and organizations with health and wellness focuses. These organizations include the Hockomock YMCA, Revere on the Move, Mass in Motion Salem, Lynn Food and Fitness and Healthy Chelsea.

Stationed at the Hockomock YMCA, SCI member Amelia Walters is currently working on several volunteer outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing local gardening programs. The program (scheduled to take off in spring) will allow youth to work on gardening skills while maintaining the land and facilities.  The Hockomock YMCA already maintains a successful gardening programs which will be expanded into Milford and Bellingham by Amelia’s service. Deliver Holiday Meals to Homeless Families on the South Coast

United Neighbors ofUnited Neighbors of Fall River is looking for volunteers to deliver meals to homeless families on Christmas Eve at approximately 1pm, and again on Christmas morning, about 10am, to make sure that everybody is able to get a filling Christmas meal.
