Robert Mercer Bio

Robert was appointed to Social Capital’s Board of Directors in 2002. Robert has over 15 years experience holding several Senior Accounting positions in corporate accounting for various high-tech companies including Plaintree Systems, Renaissance IT Worldwide, Progress Software and currently Interactive Data Corporation. Robert joined SCI as Treasurer in its early stages of development and has contributed by building SCI’s financial and accounting infrastructure. Robert works closely with David Crowley, President, preparing financial statements, annual budgets and cash forecasting analysis. Robert received a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, a M.M. graduate degree in Organizational Development from Cambridge College, and is currently pursuing his MBA with a Finance concentration at Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Business.
